GOOGLE ANALYTICS

This website uses Google Analytics to help analyze how users use the site, which uses cookies. If you sign an online petition, your name, city, state, and comments may be publicly displayed and shared with relevant stakeholders or the media.

CALIFORNIA CONSUMER PRIVACY ACT

Residents of California have the right to request certain personally identifiable information shared with third parties by a business with whom the California resident has an established business relationship as well as the names of the third parties with whom the information has been shared. In addition, an operator of a commercial website subject to California Business and Professions Code Section 22581 is required to fulfill requests from California residents under age 18 who are registered users of online sites, services or applications to obtain removal of content or information they have publicly posted.

If this applies to you and you wish to request this information, ensure that your request includes a detailed description of the specific content or information to be removed. Please be aware that your request does not guarantee complete or comprehensive removal of content or information posted online and that the law may not permit or require removal in certain circumstances. If you are a California resident, believe that one of the above code provisions applies to you, and would like to make such a request, you may e-mail your request to info@solanapolicyinstitute.org.

We will respond to such requests for information access within 30 days following receipt at the e-mail address stated above. If we receive your request at a different e-mail or mailing address, we will respond within a reasonable period of time, but not to exceed 150 days from the date received. Please note that we are only required to respond to each customer once per calendar year.

Solana Policy Institute does not currently engage in activities that constitute a “sale” for purposes of California’s privacy law. However, if you are a California user and would like to request that we either (1) delete all information we have obtained about you; or (2) not sell that information in the future to any third party whatsoever, email info@solanapolicyinstitute.org to make that request. A California user’s exercise of the rights described in this Section will not result in discriminatory treatment by Solana Policy Institute.

NEVADA

Under Nevada law, a Nevada resident who has provided Personal Information to a business with whom he/she has established a business relationship for purposes related to personal, family, or household use (“Nevada user”) is entitled to request that we not make any sale, as defined in applicable law, of any Personal Information collected, or to be collected, about you to any third party whatsoever. Email info@solanapolicyinstitute.org to make that request.

OREGON

If you are an Oregon resident, you may request that we disclose to you: the categories of personal information we process about you and the third parties to which we have disclosed your personal information.

DISCLOSURES FOR TEXAS, COLORADO, CONNECTICUT, UTAH, AND VIRGINIA 

Residents of these states are provided by their respective states with rights to:  We may share your information as follows:

• Confirm whether we process their personal information.
• Access personal information we have collected about them.
• Delete personal information.
• Receive a copy of their personal information in a portable and, to the extent technically feasible, readily usable format.
• Opt-out of personal data sales or processing for targeted advertising.
Colorado, Connecticut, and Virginia provide their residents with a right to correct inaccuracies in their personal information.

Specifically for Colorado residents, you may authorize another individual, acting on your behalf, to opt out of exchanges of your personal information for money or other valuable consideration or processing for targeted advertising purposes, including through opt-out preference signals. We will respect an opt-out request received from a person authorized by the consumer to act on your behalf, so long as we can authenticate your identity and the authorized agent’s authority to act on your behalf.

To authenticate your request, we may require you to provide information to enable us to match that information to the records we maintain.

We will maintain and use de-identified information that does not constitute personal information in the de-identified form and will not attempt to re-identify such de-identified information except to the extent permitted under applicable law. We process personal information as described in this Policy.

VISITING THE SITE FROM OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES

This website does not intend to target any users who are residents of the European Union, nor does it intend to provide any goods or services to any users who are residents of the European Union. If you are visiting this site from outside of the United States of America, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored or processed in the United States, where our servers are located and our central database is operated. The data protection and other laws of the United States and other countries might not be as comprehensive as those in your country, but please be assured that we take steps to protect your privacy.
